Pottery Experience Class

Updated: Feb 2

The ‘ pottery experience ‘ class runs 2 to 4 pm on a Sunday, with a max of 4 participants . This popular session provides the perfect opportunity for a taste of  hand-building techniques and throwing on a wheel.

Suitable for beginners or an experienced potter, this workshop offers a fun, creative, and hands-on experience for all. Children are welcome accompanied by an adult, and all materials are provided .

Aprons are provided though you may want to wear clothes that you don't mind getting a bit messy.

You will first experience throwing on the wheel , where you will be guided to throw a pot . After a tea break we will move over to hand building where we will model small animals or hand press a bowl or plate, the choice is yours.

Your pots will then need to dry for bisque firing , this can take up to 14 days , so we ask that you book a return date to glaze and decorate your creations. You can book in on any class for your return visit.

If you do not wish to keep your creations, at the end of the session, then please let us know on the day to help us save resources.

Any items not collected after 6 months will be disposed of.

NB it is not possible to throw or hand build with very long nails.

Please find the direct link to the Workshop Booking page.
